| | The vineyards of Mount Langi Ghiran are nestled between two dramaticlly beautiful mountain ranges on the southern end of the Great Dividing Range in the Grampians region of Western Victoria. The cool climate of Mount Langi Ghiran is unique for growing wine in Australia, and the Shiraz vines like to take their time to ripen and develop their spicy, peppery flavors making Langi one of the last vineyards to be harvested in Victoria.
In the winery, Mt. Langi wines take the approach of simple and traditional methods, supported by relevant technology. The famous Langi red wines are fermented in traditional open, shallow, concrete tanks. The wine is allowed to settle, and then matured in a variety of French and American oak barrels. It is this balance between traditional practice and embracing technology, which allows Mt. Langi wines to show the true character of Langi.
Mt Langi Wines produce outstanding quality labels including Ghiran Langi, Billi Billi and Cliff Edge. The grape varieties used include Shiraz, Riesling, Cabernet Merlot and Chardonnay.
